چکیده
The aim of this study was evaluation and comparison fracture toughness, hardness microstructure ceramic-modified versus resin-modified glass ionomer restorative materials. For 20 specimens from both materials were fabricated in a stainless-steel split mold (25mm length, 2.5mm thickness 5mm width). Fracture toughness measured using Lloyd universal testing machine with cross head speed 2 mm/min. testing, disc-shaped (5mm diameter 2mm height). All stored distilled water at 37°C for 24 hours. Hardness Vickers micro tester 50 g load. examined scanning electron microscopy. results showed there wasn’t significant difference between toughness. higher than that the type. addition ceramic filler to didn’t improve its tight packing matrix resin filler, while separated filler.

Shear bond strength of resin modified glass ionomer cement bonded to different tooth-colored restorative materials.
AIM The aim of this study was to determine in vitro the shear bond strength (MPa) and the type of bond failure when resin-modified glass ionomer cement (RMGIC) was bonded with different tooth-colored restorative materials. METHODS AND MATERIALS The RMGIC tested was Fuji II LC (FL) and the tooth-colored restorative materials used were composite resin Point-4 (P4), Compomer Dyract AP (DY), and ...
متن کاملEvaluating dentin surface treatments for resin-modified glass ionomer restorative materials.
This in vitro study evaluated the effect of six surface treatments on the shear bond strength of three resin-modified glass ionomers (RMGIs) to dentin. Occlusal surfaces of caries-free third molars were reduced to expose only dentin. Surface treatments were smear layer intact (negative control), Cavity Conditioner, EDTA, Ketac Primer, Self Conditioner, and etching with 35% phosphoric acid follo...
متن کاملSurface hardness properties of resin-modified glass ionomer cements and polyacid-modified composite resins.
In this study the top and bottom surface hardness of two polyacid-modified composite resins (PMCRs), one resin-modified glass ionomer cement (RMGIC), and one composite resin were evaluated. The affect of water storage on their hardness was also investigated. The study was conducted using four different groups, each having five specimens obtained from fiberglass die molds with a diameter of 5 mm...
متن کاملResin-modified glass-ionomer setting reaction competition.
Resin-modified glass ionomers (RMGI) set by at least 2 mechanisms dependent upon reactant diffusion prior to gelation. Each reaction's kinetics and setting mechanism may rely on and/or compete with the other. In this study, we investigated RMGI setting reaction interactions using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) by varying light-cure initiation times. A RMGI was analyzed with isothermal ...
